Photovoltaics at Krumhuk
Der erste Schritt für eine nachhaltige und ökonomisch tragfähige Energieversorgung auf der Krumhuk Farm, 25 km südlich von Windhoek, Namibia, ist gelungen. Als eines ihrer ersten Projekte hat die Nawa Sustainable Development CC eine Photovoltaik-Anlage mit einer Leistung von 22 kW auf der Farm errichtet. Von der Planung und Projektentwicklung bis zum Bau und der Inbetriebnahme der Anlage hat die Nawa Sustainable Development in enger Abstimmung mit den Betreibern der Farm das etwa 40.000 Euro umfassende Projekt entwickelt.
The first step to a sustainable and economical energy supply at Krumhuk Farm, 25 km south of Windhoek, Namibia, is done. As one of its first projects Nawa Sustainable Development CC has built a photovoltaic system with an output of 22 kW on the farm. Planning and project development, construction and operating of the 40.000 Euro project took place in cooperation with the operators of the farm.

Die Nawa Sustainable Development begleitet die Entwicklung eines gemeinnützigen Projektes in unmittelbarer Nähe der Farm. In der Berufsschule, in der eine landwirtschaftliche und eine hauswirtschaftliche Grundausbildung angeboten werden, wird noch im Jahr 2014 eine Lehr- und Lern-Photovoltaikanlage entstehen. Die Anlage wird nicht allein dazu dienen, die Berufsschule mit Strom zu versorgen. Sie wird den Berufsschülern, die bereits an der Projektplanung mitwirken können, zur Verfügung stehen um den Umgang mit regenerativen Energien zu erlernen.
Nawa Sustainable Development supports a charitable project nearby the farm. In the vocational School for Sustainable Agriculture and Farm Household Management a teaching and learning photovoltaic system will be built in 2014. The facility will not only serve to provide the vocational school with electricity. The students who already participate in the project planning, will learn how to deal with renewable energy.
